Your privacy matters to us. WA Student Driver is designed with a simple principle: your data stays on your device. This policy explains what we collect (almost nothing), what we do with it, and why.

What We Do Not Collect

WA Student Driver does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information from users. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data
• Usage analytics or behavioral data sent to our servers
• Financial information (all purchases are processed entirely by Apple or Google)
• Health or biometric data
• The content of your drive logs or practice test results

How the App Works

All data you enter — drive logs, hour totals, practice test progress — is stored locally on your device. On iOS, this data may sync across your own devices via iCloud if you have iCloud enabled, but it is never transmitted to our servers.

We maintain no user databases. We cannot access your device or the information stored on it.

Third-Party Platforms

While the app itself collects no personal data, the operating systems and app stores it runs on (Apple iOS, Google Android) may independently collect device-level usage data. This is outside our control. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy for details on data they collect.

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not see or store your payment information.

Compliance

Because we collect no personal data, WA Student Driver is fully compliant with applicable privacy regulations including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). There is no personal data to access, correct, export, or delete.

Children's Privacy

WA Student Driver is intended for use by teen drivers and their parents or guardians. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including minors. The app does not include advertising, behavioral tracking, or any features that would implicate children's privacy laws beyond our baseline no-collection stance.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever introduce data collection in the future, we will update this policy with advance notice and obtain any legally required consent before doing so. We will never introduce data collection silently.
